Hey there! It’s been a while since the blog has been updated, but worry not. The masthead is still hard at work on Spitfire‘s inaugural issue! Submissions for the September issue have been closed since the first of August. While we aren’t currently accepting work, if you are still itching to be published in the magazine, you can get ready to submit in September. Once the fall issue is released, the submissions box will be re-opened for the winter issue!
As Spitfire is a quarterly publication, it is set to be published four times annually. Currently, that schedule is to publish on the first of September, December, March, and June. In preparation for the December 2018 issue, the submissions box will be open from September 1 through November 1. Please keep this deadline in mind if you’re hoping to be published this winter.
Until then, though, get ready for the magazine’s first issue! I am reading and responding to submissions as we speak. If you are a hopeful contributor for the September issue and haven’t yet received a reply, expect to hear a final decision within the next few days. If you’re just a fan, your continued support means the world as this project takes life! As always, I’d encourage you to follow Spitfire on social media and to share with all your literary friends.
As the editor, I have a very good feeling about Spitfire‘s beginning, and I’m brimming with excitement as we approach publication day. I have some wonderful pieces to share with you all! I truly cannot wait for you to see.
